1993: HisBiz Painting is Born
Pioneer of our business, Hogie Hogan, launches HisBiz Painting from Camano Island, Washington. Located in the north end of Puget Sound, just south of the famous San Juan Islands, Hogie built a solid brand in the local community. “Quality that Looks and Lasts” was the original company slogan that graces the vehicles in our coating department to this day.
1998: GS Cleaning is Born
Laid off at 8:30am on a cold Tuesday in November, Greg Sicotte launched GS Cleaning at 1:30pm, only five hours later the same day. With a knack for marketing and brand development, his unique approach captured the attention of clients and aspiring employees alike. Greg’s company provided basic home maintenance services including window and screen cleaning, gutter cleaning and Christmas lighting.
2001: GS Cleaning becomes Finestra! Inc.
Quick growth during the real estate boom of the new millennium inspired Greg to incorporate his business. One client who took a keen interest in the company worked with Greg to create a unique brand. With the introduction of the new corporate structure the company would be known as Finestra! Finestra! (Window! Window! in Italian). A new company logo featuring Greg’s iconic 1957 Willys Jeep and a turn towards establishing annual property maintenance plans set the company apart. Over the next five years, Finestra! was to become a recognized brand across the Puget Sound.
2004: HisBiz Transfer of Ownership
May of 2004 found Justin Baldwin building his own home maintenance company on Camano Island. When he learned of Hogie’s intent to sell HisBiz, Justin saw an opportunity to launch his business ahead by a decade in only a few short weeks. It proved to be a wise investment. Once the ink dried on the contracts, Justin ran with the new HisBiz Painting company, satisfying clients one quality project at a time. While the next decade would test the company’s limits, sinking into a near housing depression, Justin would lead HisBiz Painting through with integrity, the primary attribute to which Justin credits the company’s survival.
2006: Finestra! is Sold
Five years following incorporation and with several thousand client properties serviced regularly, Greg took the company to Seattle’s most accomplished M&A brokers for valuation. It was determined that Finestra! Finestra! was a solid company and would hold its value in the market. With a handsome valuation, the recent sale of his home in Issaquah and the birth of his second child, Greg made the decision to sell the company and move north to Stanwood to pursue a new direction.
2010: Puget Services is Born
Since 2006, Greg’s attention was concentrated on learning and leveraging tools for ecommerce technology. During this four-year stint, Greg participated in the formation of two companies, LinkedIQ, a boutique web design studio, and AllStarAgents, a nationwide real estate relocation network. The former company would become the stage where Greg and Justin would meet with the introduction of a mutual acquaintance. In October 2010, upon completion of the new HisBiz website, Greg decided to venture into residential property maintenance again under the name Puget Services.
2014: Merger of Puget Services & HisBiz
From the beginning, Greg and Justin believed their businesses and their lives would overlap. Whether it was their common approach to business strategy, or the advantage of referring clients between their companies, the two men began to see the torrent, but promising possibilities of a forming partnership. Following three years of testing, review and projection, on January 8th, 2014 Greg and Justin took the required steps to combine their businesses under one entity. Over the next several months, they would discover their greatest shared asset would again be trust, a rare character attribute forged from a commitment to integrity.
2015: Ground Breaking Technology
Puget Services represents the complex convergence of human services and digital process efficiency. The growing number of visionary minds behind the company propel it to tirelessly improve its service offerings. On August 17th, 2014, the company launched its initial version of the “Shop”, a digital marketplace for home maintenance services. February 8th, 2016 marks the release of the company’s updated website and the Property Maintenance Virtual Portal (MVP). Only in the Puget Sound are consumers seeking reliable home maintenance able to purchase these services online with confidence and convenience.

In February, we moved our headquarters to our new offices at Terry’s Corner on Camano Island. From here we serve the entire Puget Sound from Renton to Bellingham. Puget Services also made its debut at the NW Flower and Garden Show, with the annual Seattle Home Show immediately on its heels. We are making significant investments in our workforce to meet the growing demand.
