Fire Safety – Fire alarms and carbon monoxide detectors should be in working order at all times. Contact your local fire department for tips on where they should be placed and how many you will need to keep tenants safe. They will likely come to the property, free of charge, to help get everything set up correctly.

Appliances – Appliances should be screened for recalls and in working order. This will help reduce the risk of fire and keep tenants safe. Items to review include the washer and dryer, stove, refrigerator, microwave, and any other appliances on the property.
